Kayla Fixel, is currently the Senior at University of Minnesota - Carlson School of Management. She is nominated and awarded for People of The Year 2020 by Musée Magazine. We are proud to honor her excellence and contribution to our community.

Kayla wakes up every day at around 6:30 am -7 am, makes her bed, makes herself some coffee and starts working and planning for her day. She thinks it is vital to have a routine as it will keep us planned and productive. Being involved in many extracurriculum activities, Kayla also prevents herself from being stressed out by taking a break, walking and doing exercises with her friends. It is not easy to do so during this pandemic. However, Kayla thinks it will be fine to walk out and get a little bit air as long as we mask up and take necessary precautions.

When being asked about what characteristics has made her who she is today, she thinks it is empathy. It is important to her to recognize other's feelings and different experiences. Empathy helps her to be effective in her work as well as empowering others to do their work.

Kayla is an inspiration of persistence, understanding, intelligence and confidence to us. We are proud to honor her contributions and grateful of her contribution to our community.
